Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and B4 Uni Trust ("B4 Uni", "we", "us") about using b4uni.com and B4 Uni's courses and community spaces. By creating a family account or using B4 Uni you agree to them. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle information.
Who can use B4 Uni
- A family account is created by a parent or legal guardian who is 18 or older. When you sign up you confirm that you are. We rely on you to tell the truth.
- Children use B4 Uni through profiles that their parent creates in the family account, under that parent's supervision. A child must not create a family account. A person aged 13 to 17 may create a teen account where teen sign-up is open (see Teen accounts).
- Learners must be 13 or older. When you add a learner you give their date of birth, and we refuse learners under 13.
- Adults may also learn on B4 Uni for themselves.
Teen accounts (13 to 17)
Where teen sign-up is open, a person aged 13 to 17 may create a teen account with their own email address. A teen account can join free online courses, read lessons and post in course chat. It cannot use the AI tutor, share pictures, send private messages or join paid or in-person courses until a parent or guardian links to it. B4 Uni looks after sign-in for the account: there is no password to set or lose. A parent or guardian who links to a teen account can see what the teen posts in classes and can pause the account. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must create your account.
Your family account
- Your email address is how you get into your family account: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Keep your email account secure, and don't forward sign-in links.
- You are responsible for what happens in your family account, including your children's use of B4 Uni. Supervise your children, choose whether they may post, and remove devices you no longer trust.
- If you invite another parent or guardian into your family, they can manage your children's profiles too. Only invite people you trust with your children's accounts.
- Give accurate information, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.
Using community spaces
Courses and schools on B4 Uni have shared spaces where learners and teachers talk, react and mark progress. Children use these spaces too, so everyone must:
- Be kind and respectful. No bullying, harassment, threats or hate.
- Keep it suitable for children. No sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content.
- Protect privacy. Don't share anyone's personal information, including your own full name, address, phone number, school or photos of children, and never ask a child for theirs.
- Don't try to contact children privately or move a conversation with a child off B4 Uni.
- Don't post spam, advertising, or anything illegal, and don't share content you don't have the right to share.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't try to get around the limits on children's accounts or break into accounts or systems.
We may remove content, stop an account from posting, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Report a problem to [email protected].
Content
- What you and your children post stays yours. You give B4 Uni permission to store it and show it to the members of the space where it was posted, so we can run the service.
- Posts, reactions and lesson completions stay in the space where they were made, even after an account is deleted, unless the family's owner chooses to remove them when deleting the family. Think before posting.
- Course materials belong to B4 Uni or to the teachers who made them. You may use them for your own family's learning, but not copy or sell them without permission.
Paid plans
- Some plans are paid. The plans and prices on offer are shown on our Plans page and at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page, under Stripe's terms.
- Billing, renewal and cancellation: Go Build and Go Unlimited renew monthly until cancelled. Go Learn is a one-time payment and does not renew. To cancel a subscription, email [email protected]; it then ends at the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds: No refunds except where the law requires.
Ending your use of B4 Uni
- You can stop using B4 Uni at any time. The family's owner can delete the family in Settings, under Account & security. To delete a child's profile, or if you need help, write to [email protected]. Our Privacy Notice explains what is deleted and what stays.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts children or others at risk.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep B4 Uni running well, but we provide it "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, free of mistakes, or that any course will lead to a particular result. We may change or stop features, courses or plans.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, B4 Uni is not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, or for what other members post. Our total responsibility to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
Dispute resolution
Principles of Peacemaking Primary Dispute Resolution ("PDR")
We as Principled Peacemakers 🕊️ are each responsible to embody three core principles for peacemaking by promising:
Principled Resolution Promise
I promise to authentically, directly, peacefully, and proactively provide feedback and respond to complaints within 30 days. Instead of legal action, I will first seek resolution through direct discussion; second, prepare and share a record detailing my claim, proposed remedy, controlling principles, and undisputed facts with a fellow Principled Peacemaker; third, involve a neutral Principled Peacemaker to help reach an agreeable resolution; and fourth, if required, resolve the dispute by binding arbitration before a mutually acceptable arbitrator.
Integrity Promise
I promise to be honest, fair, and authentic, always keeping my word and taking responsibility for my actions. I will uphold my ethical principles, build trust, and maintain consistency in my relationships and interactions.
Mutual Respect Promise
I promise to respect the autonomy of others, to refrain from seeking remedies in excess of their binding promises and agreements, and to refrain from claiming obligations from others greater than my own obligations to them.
Reputation Acceptance
I accept that dishonoring these promises may stain my reputation until I measure the impact and make amends.
Waiver of Other Legal Remedies
By accepting these Terms, you waive your right to pursue disputes through traditional litigation or any other forum not specified in the PDR process.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell parents and guardians by email or by a notice on the site before it takes effect.
